ABC Mouse Review

The ABCmouse Early Learning Academy is the research-validated program for children ages 2-8+ with more than 8500 learning activities that teach reading, math, science, health, social studies, art, and music. After the initial splash screen from the developers, the user is shown a ‘Home’ screen to sign up for the 30-day trial. This is ‘parental’ protected and it is noted that the application has a ‘Child Safe’ logo ensuring the app has no external links, pop-up adverts and no advertising.
Once the user has signed up to the 30-day trial they will be charged for further use unless the subscription is canceled via the website or chosen device.
Once the user has successfully logged in the parent will need to set up their child’s profile. This includes an avatar, date of birth, gender and academic level. It is noted that the academic levels shown are for the American education system. There is an excellent introduction video to the application which we recommend watching. This video is informative and explains the curriculum content as well as how the application uses a ‘Learning Path’ which is a structured learning experience of over 850 lessons for your child accordingly to their academic age. There are over 9,000 learning activities in the form of books, videos, printables, games, songs, puzzles, art activities and more. Students will be awarded a certificate once the lessons have been completed. The application recommends that your child completes at least one lesson every time they use ABC Mouse. Each learning experience uses previous experience the child has used to reinforce previous learning.

ABCmouse levels

The ABCmouse curriculum consists of ten levels of difficulty, designed for preschool-aged children (3+) through second-graders (8+). Each level features around 850 age-appropriate educational activities.

How much does ABCMouse cost?

A paid subscription is required to use the ABCmouse app. Parents can sign up on the ABCmouse website or within the mobile app. Existing users can sign in and continue their progress from anywhere, which is particularly handy in families with multiple children. Monthly and annual subscription options exist for families.
ABCMouse subscription costs $9.95/month ($79.99/year). This fee can be paid monthly, yearly, or in 4 installments with a credit card, PayPal or Amazon Pay.
